Yttrium oxide ( yttrium oxide ) is a white to slightly yellow powder, insoluble in water and soluble in acid, alkali, mainly used for manufacturing microwave magnetic materials and military industry with important materials ( single crystal; yttrium iron garnet, YAG composite oxide ), also used as optical glass, ceramics, large additive screen TV with high brightness fluorescent powder and other tube coating. Also used in the manufacture of thin film capacitors and special refractory material, and a high pressure mercury lamp, laser, storage element, magnetic bubble materials. Sintering when adding yttrium oxide can effectively reduce the grain size of tungsten alloy.
