The person who researched and developed saxophone in Taiwan, Mr. Chang Lien Chang was born in Houli, Taichung and spent his all life there. He had interests in music when he was a child and showed his talent very early, later he formed a Jazz Band with friends. At that time, a saxophone was as worth as 1 ha paddies and one of his friends, Mr. Cheng, Chi-Pan was the only one who had a saxophone. However, a fire destroyed the saxophone. This is the reason why Mr. Chang, Lien Chang started to manufacture musical instrument.

1948 - 35yrs old - Success to manufacture the first saxophone by Mr. Chang, Lien Chang himself without any instruction. Lien-Chang Musical Instrument Factory was founded after the first successful saxophone selling.

1977 - Mr. Chang, Wen-Tsan took over the factory from his father – Chang, Lien-Chang.

2000 - OEM Abandoned, create their own brand of LC (Lien Chang) 2004 - Become a tourism factory, being a leading saxophone manufacturer.

Lien-Chang Musical Instrument Factory is becoming a hundred years of enterprise since 1945. After 4 generations of excellent craftsmanship & good quality, we succeed to create the first Taiwanese brand of saxophone. Chang, Lien-Chang is going to become a well-known saxophone manufacturer in the world.
