Overview of Prohibited and Restricted Products

Before you list your product, you need to find out if your product is allowed on DIYTrade and if the type of product is subject to certain restrictions to avoid potential issues with your listing.

Violations of these policies may result in a range of actions, including:

  • Listing cancellation
  • Membership termination

Prohibited and Restricted Products List:

  • Drugs, prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia
  • Electronics equipment – include cable TV de-scramblers, radar scanners, and traffic signal control
  • Electronic surveillance equipment – include wiretapping devices, and telephone bugging devices
  • Firearms, weapons and knives – include pepper spray, replicas and stun guns
  • Government and transit documents
  • Government identification documents and licenses
  • Hazardous and restricted items
  • Human body parts and skeletons
  • Items encouraging illegal activity
  • Lockpicking devices
  • Mailing lists and personal information
  • Multi-level marketing, pyramid and matrix programs
  • Offensive material
  • Police-related items
  • Prohibited services
  • Stolen property and property with removal serial numbers
     

Report violation of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

If you are the owner (IPR owner) of certain intellectual property rights (IPR) or the authorized agent of the IPR owner and have a good faith belief that the listing on the site infringes your copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property rights. You may complete the form, Notice of IPR Infringement ("Notice") and email to ipr[at]diytrade.com .

Guidance notes for completion of the Notice of IPR Infringement form:

  1. Please provide all the information on the Notice, all these information is important to us for evaluating your complaint;
  2. You should specifically identify the alleged infringing company and each and every alleged infringed products (URLs of each products);
  3. Attach the relevant certificate of the IPR.

Upon receipt of the completed Notice together with the relevant certificate, we will evaluate your complaint promptly. If it is appropriate, we will immediately remove the infringed listing.
