Brief introduction: Two sets of luxury Zenghou Yi (fief kingdom noble named Yi) Jian and Fou (jar with big belly and small spout) unearthed from the tomb of Zenghou Yi in Sui county, Hubei province in 1978, were designed especially for cooling wine, consisting of square Jian which carried the ice cubes and square Fou which were used for carrying wine. Kept in Hubei Museum.
This is by far the world's oldest refrigerator. Jian and Fou feature precise structures and splendid appearance, reflecting advanced cast techniques of that time.
