A new multilingual commentary system
eGuide30 V2.0 is the result of 5 years of continuous research and improvement based on the foundation of our first generation product, eGuide8, and also upon the reference of various similar international products to create a new generation of Multiple Language, Multiple Route (M.L.M.R.), GPS-Triggered, Audio and Video Commentary Systems.
eGuide30 V2.0 is fundamentally superior to other similar products in terms of function, cost, installation and product support.
1. GPS Triggered
The sound bites are triggered automatically by the guide system according to the Points of Interest (POI) coordinates assigned.
2. Up to 30 channels of audio playback
The ability to play back up to 30 channels of pre-recorded audio tracks makes it an effective multilingual guide system.
3. Coupled with a High-Definition Video Playback channel
Operators can match a relevant video file with every Point of Interest to play simultaneously with its audio component to give visitors an all-rounded combination of audio and video enabled guide.
The High-Definition video playback channel can be connected to multiple screens.
4. Unlimited number of routes and Points of Interest (POI)
Multiple routes can be set up and multiple POIs can be set up within a route. There is no limit to the number of routes or POI to be set up.
5. Live commentary
Tour guides can make use of the microphone to make live commentary and explanation. The audio commentary will be sent to a specific channel on the visitor’s unit.
6. Smart Interruption
When a guide for one POI is done playing but the next POI is yet to be reached, the system will calculate the time and select appropriate audio files in the library for spot playback. Operators can also create specific groups of spot playback file for different POI. Thus, when the vehicle gets stuck in a traffic jam, additional content will play automatically.
Additional content can include audio, video, commercials or other references to supplement guide content.
7. Shock resistant, damage resistant, age resistant
eGuide30 utilises hard and durable PVC materials that are shock, damage and age resistant.
8. Double-waterproof design
eGuide30 is made with waterproof design on both its exterior and its printed circuit board (PCB).
9. Backlit keyboard
Both the audio and channel selection keys are backlit for night time usage.
10. Industrial standard PC
eGuide30’s main control unit uses an industrial standard PC that is shock resistant and highly reliable.
11. Simple installation and maintenance
eGuide30 receivers use a standard CAT-5 (computer network wiring) cable in its connection. This greatly lowers its cost and makes it simple to maintain.
12. Fault isolation
The main control unit and receiver units are connected by an isolation hub that will isolate the network that is causing a fault in the system from other networks to ensure the other systems will continue to work normally and thus making it easier for maintenance works.
13. Up to 3 wireless FM radio channels transmission modules.
Most mobile phones, MP3 players and entertainment devices are equipped with FM radio receivers. eGuide30 can attach an additional wireless FM transmitter module to transmit up to 3 language channels which visitors can easily receiver via their mobile phones on entertainment devices.
14. Touch screen control panel
The touch screen control panel provides control and selection of routes, transmission and sale of tickets.
15. Integration of ticketing system
A printer can be hooked on and can be integrated into a ticket sales system through touch screen operation.
Operators can also install their own ticketing software.
16. Windows platform providing operators with additional system enhancement potential.
eGuide30 main control unit is built on the Windows platform which allows operators to expand its capabilities. For example, operators can install GPS Navigation or integrate it with 3G to create communication possibilities with headquarters etc.

Most similar products only provide up to 8 channels but eGuide30 provides 30 channels of high quality audio playback.
2. One High-Definition video channel playback, simultaneously with audio playback
Most other products do not provide video playback.
eGuide30 provides video playback. Visitors can listen to the audio guide in their preferred language of choice while watching the video playback at the same time.
3. Unlimited routes and Points of Interest (POI)
Most other products restrict the number of routes and POI as a result of their design.

Many similar products uses softer materials for its exterior surface for ease in printing beautiful pictures but this makes it prone to ageing and breaking under constant sunlight exposure.
eGuide30 uses hard and durable PVC materials and is effectively shock and damage resistant.
6. Double-waterproof design
Most other products adopt an exterior waterproof concept but its waterproof function degrades under constant sunlight exposure and will require a change of waterproof rings.
eGuide30 utilises both exterior and PCB waterproofing technology to make it double-waterproof for long term usage.
7. Low cost and simple installation and maintenance
Most other products uses custom or coaxial cable (cable TV) and the length needs to be customized which results in higher costs and difficulty in maintenance.
eGuide30 uses the common standard CAT-5 (computer cable), cost less and can be customized on the spot making it easy to install and maintain.
8. Fault isolation
Most products do not have this feature and when one receiver encounters a fault, it affects the entire network of receivers or the whole system.
eGuide30 uses an isolation hub between connections to isolate every single receiver.
9. Smart interruption
Most other products do not provide this function. When the vehicle encounters a traffic jam, they can only play background music to fill in the gap.
eGuide30 provides smart interruption by filling gaps between POIs with spot audio clips by estimating the time and then selects from a library of pre-recorded audio clips. It is also possible to include groups of spot audio clips to specific POI to be played automatically when the vehicle encounters traffic jams or other problems.
Additional content can include audio, video, commercials or other references to supplement guide content.
10. Backlit keyboard for night time usage.
Most other similar products do not have a backlit keyboard
11. Up to 3 wireless FM radio channels transmission modules.
Other products did not consider the need in this aspect.
12. Integration of ticketing system
Other products do not have it. We provide integration of ticket sales system which operators can install their ticketing software or other Windows software.
