Operating principle

  A rod mill consists of a horizontal cylindrical shell ,wearing liners and grinding medium—steel rods .When the shell rotates,the steel rods begin rolling ,after a while , they will be taken to a certain height inside the shell under the influence of friction and centrifugal force, then dropped  down and have a linear contact with the materials. There will be relatively big particles between steel rods when they ascend and small granules will be left at the bottom. That is to say, the larger particles will be ground first and the smaller ones second. In this way,the materials fed into the machine will be crushed and ground into even size by the rolling rods. Final products will be discharged under the pressure of continue feeding materials through overflowing method.
