The legend of Silk-embroidered ball:
Long long ago, there is a very poor family who’s living under the mountain foot in Jingxi county of Gunagxi province.  The son from the poor family A Di felled in love with A Xiu, a beautiful girl who lives in the same village. A Xiu also loves A Di for his honesty, diligence and braveness.
One day an evil wealth signorino was attracted by A Xiu’s beautiful face and he wanted to marry A Xiu, however, A Xiu would rather die than being his wife. In order to break up them, the evil signorino bought the local government over to put A Di to the jail and A Di will be killed at the end of autumn. A Xiu was despair very much and spent all her days in tears until one day she got blind. Then A Xiu started to make the silk-embroidered ball to her lover --A Di. Needle pricked her hand and her blood soaked the silk-embroidered ball. A Xiu’s blood makes the flowers on the silk-embroidered ball more gorgeous, the leaves much greener, and the birds more vividly. After 81 days, A Xiu finished the silk signorino ball which filled with her love to A Di. Then she sold all her trinket to buy over the prison supervisor to see A Di. When she wear the silk-embroidered ball on A Di’s neck, wonder happened. A magic light brought A Xiu and A Di away from the prison. When they weak up, they found they were lying under a the beautiful mountain foot where away from the evil signorino. From then on, A Xiu and A Di lives a sweetly life.

The silk embroidered ball uses red, blue, and green as the basic color. Usually it has 12 petals, each petal has stitched mascot, such as plum, orchid, chrysanthemum, bamboo or spring swallow, dragon, phoenix and so on.
