Created in 1944 at the height of the organic design movement, this is a beautiful example of asymmetry. A triangular glass top on two identical asymmetrical shapes create an elegant, functional piece that's as much a piece of art as a table.
Noguchi, who trained as a sculptor, described this as his best piece of furniture and it has been so widely copied that authentic models now feature the designer's signature on the edge of the glass to distinguish them from wannabes.
