Turning on your wireless modem and connecting it to the internet Plug the mifi into your computer and install the wifi manager software, create a new profile by going to TOOLS / OPTIONS / PROFILE MANAGMENT you may need to enter apn details for you network provider. Insert your SIM into the wireless modem, making sure that it is aligned correctly. Press and hold the power button on the side of the wireless modem. All five lights will quickly flash. Wait for the green icon in the top left corner of the screen to remain lit.
The wireless modem is now powered up, you may need to enter apn details into a new profile that you will create in the wifi manager software. Press the Wi-Fi/WPS button on the wireless modem. Do not press and hold. As soon as a blue W icon appears, the Wi-Fi is switched on.
To connect to the internet, press and hold the button that has an 'e' and a lightbulb on it. The blue M icon will start to flash rapidly. When the icon remains on, the wireless modem is connected to the internet.
The wireless modem will now be broadcasting a signal. You can use your computer, iPod touch or any device with Wi-Fi capability to find the wireless signal and connect to the internet. |
