RAYOLAN FRS can also be applied together with cationic and non-ionic lubricants (softeners).

RAYOLAN FRS is stable to pH and salt. No yellowing of optical brightened yarns may occur. In this case, finishing should not be effected below pH 7.

RAYOLAN FRS applied on yarns lowers the frictional resistance of threads to the thread guides and deflecting devices of the processing machines. Furthermore, it guarantees a soft and bulky handle. The use of RAYOLAN FRS is particulary advantageous with such yarns not submitted to rewinding prior to processing as well as with single yarns, sensitive single yarns, on which neps or yarn slipping may occur after a treatment with solid paraffin. This will be avoided when using RAYOLAN FRS.

The sewability of cotton knitwear produced with yarns lubricated with RAYOLAN FRS  is significantly

increased; i.e. the formation of pin holes is avoided.

Application:

1.    Wet waxing with fresh liquor after the dyeing process:

a)  For 100 % cotton yarns or other cellulosic yarns resp. blends with man-made fibres, wool etc. (if the yarns have to be treated with a cation-active fastness improver, proceed as described under 3.):

          Amounts to be applied:

1 - 3 % o.w.o.g. RAYOLAN FRS

          Mode of operation:

-      Fill cold soft water into the feed tank

-      Add RAYOLAN FRS directly or to the replenishing tank

-      pH - value of the finishing liquor should be approx. pH 6 (if necessary add

-      0,1 ml/l - 0,5 ml/l acetic acid)

-      Absorb the liquor

-      Run 10 min without heating by alternating liquor circulation or inside to outside and static pressure (3 - 4 bar)

-      Heat with 2 °C/min to 40 - 50 °C and proceed at this temperature for 10 min.

-      Drain liquor

-      Spin dry

-      Dry
