Mostly thePort Voip Gateway is box with a power adapter interface, a RJ45 interface, a RJ11 interface and a IP key. Power adapter is used to connect to the power adapter, RJ45 interface is used to connect to LAN and RJ11 interface is used to connect the phone. The IP key has several usages. It can play the voice to announce the current IP address, it can used to enter into safe mode to retrieve the firmware, it can used to set the IP type and IP address.

When you take a Port Voip Gateway, first you need to connect it to LAN, phone and power adapter correctly. Then the Port Voip Gateway will boot up. After 30 seconds, it is in working mode now. At this time, you pick up the phone?s handset, you should hear dial tone or busy tone.
