Description
Thiamine: A member of the vitamin B complex (water-soluble) including thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), riboflavin 5'- phosphate, nicotinic acid, Vitamin B6 Group (Pyridoxine, pyridoxal, pyridoxamine), panthothenic acid (vitamin B3 or vitamin B5), inositol, p-aminobenzoic acid, biotin (vitamin B7), folic acid (vitamin B9), and vitamin B12 (cobalamins). Thiamine has the structure of substituted-pyrimidine linked to substituted-thiazole. Thiamine hydrochloride form is generally employed. This vitamin is a factor for appetite, normal intestinal function, cardiovascular and nervous systems.
Thiamine Mononitrate is a special form of Vitamin B1.It is nitrate salt form of thiamine for the preparation of various multivitamins.
