[PRODUCT INTRODUCTION]

 

PGA (Propylene-Glycol Alginate) is made by alginate acid which is extracted from natural seaweed. It is white or light yellow power, and its water solution is mucilaginous colloid. Because there are two genes of hydrophilic nature and oil nature in its organization, so it has the characteristics of emulsifying, thickening, suspending, acid-resistant, stabilizing and so on. Especially in the acid beverage field, it has special practical effect which cannot be substituted by other additives.

 

PGA (PROPYLENE GLYCOL ALGINATE) is a carboxylate ramification of alginate acid that is an extracted substance from kelp (or seaweed). PGA has special functions of emulsifying, stabilizing, thickening and decentralizing. It is widely used in fruit juice, salad, emulsified essence and for adding beer bubble, and in lactobacillus beverage. It is the most ideal stabilizer for acidic protein drinks. In order to increase the beer's transparency, in the process of brewing, PGA is added to decompose the natural protein. PGA combines with the protein which absorbs the bubble skin and strengthens the bubble skin to postpone the liquid disposal from the bubbles, it therefore defers the continuation time of bubbles(it differs the bubble for about 2 to 3 minutes by comparison, and improves the wall built-up effect). The PGA with high degree of esterification can also control the number of cross chemical elements with protein, so as to avoid turbidity caused by the mixture of protein and polysaccharide. It therefore enhances limpidity of the beer.

Thickening, emulsifying, stabilizing: mainly for dairy products, butter, coffee, dairy-drink, sugar-coat, breezed-food etc.

Acid-resistant: mainly for lactic acid drink etc.

Acid-resistant, stabilizing, suspending: juice, chocolate drink, fruit drink etc.
Foam and emulsifying stabilization: mainly for beers.

Tissue improving for hydrate: convenience food, noodle etc.

Salt-proofing, acid resistant, thickening: mainly for spice such as salad béchamel, béchamel.

It also can be used as grease emulsifier.
