Tasteless, easy to deliquescence,dissolved in water, and the solution is acid, dissolve in methanol, ethanol, glycerin, acet, and aether,etc. Add exceed water, out come ZnO. Strong causticity and toxicity, and can dissolved metal oxid and fibrin, melted ZnCl2 has strong electric conductibility.

Mainly used as dehydrate agent, shrink agent, timber antiseptic, fabric sizing agent, weight increasing agent, and in battery, plating, paper, medicine, active carbon industries.
