Introduction
Omeprazole is a selective and irreversible inhibitor of the gastric H+/K+ ATPase pump (IC50 = 1.1 μM). It is a racemic mixture of two enantiomers, (S)-omeprazole and (R)-omeprazole , which are prodrugs of the active sulfonamide formed by acid-stimulated conversion.
Function

3. it is also often used to prevent severe disease (such as cerebralhemorrhage, traumas, etc) prevention of rebleeding after gastrectomy;
4. General anesthesia or coma patients after major surgery and weakness toprevent reflux with inhalation lung.
