Product Description

Steel-making deoxidizer is mainly used for alloy steel, cast steel, stainless steel and ordinary steel. Its application scope is converter, electric furnace and LF furnace. After using new multi-functional slag regulator, it can achieve the effect of "early slag, penetrating slag and sticking end slag"; after tapping, the slag can "splash, stick and resist corrosion".

 

Steel-making deoxidizers mainly include silicon-aluminium-barium-calcium-iron, silicon-calcium cored wire, aluminium wire, aluminium-manganese-iron, steel-core aluminium, calcium carbide and silicon carbide, etc. Their main functions are to react with oxygen dissolved in molten iron, mainly to form non-metallic compounds, form precipitation and float to the slag layer, and purified molten iron can be obtained by removing them.

 

1. Types of deoxidizers for steelmaking

 

 

1. Steel-making deoxidizer can be divided into electric furnace deoxidizer, converter deoxidizer, open-hearth deoxidizer and intermediate frequency furnace deoxidizer according to different furnace types.

 

2. According to the composition of the material, it can be divided into composite deoxidizer, pure metal deoxidizer, alloy deoxidizer, etc. According to the deoxidizing ability of the furnace charge, it can be divided into primary deoxidizer, intermediate deoxidizer and final deoxidizer.

 

3. According to the different element indexes needed in steelmaking process, it can be divided into silicon deoxidizer, barium deoxidizer, calcium deoxidizer and barium deoxidizer. These deoxidizers are usually composed of two or more elements.

No matter what form of deoxidizer is used, deoxidizer is realized in ladle.

 


II: Application of Deoxidizer in Steelmaking

 

1. Converters generally use the following deoxidizers: Fe-Mn, Fe-Si, Mn-Si, Ca-Si, Al, Fe-Al and composite deoxidizers.

 

2. Ferrosilicon, silicon manganese, silicon carbide and composite Deoxidizer are added to the bottom of ladle at one time according to the proportion of adding.

 

3. The deoxidizing ability of composite alloy products is second only to that of aluminium. Generally, when molten steel is added in three-thirds, the deoxidizer is added at one time.

 

4. The final deoxidized products such as aluminium and silicon-calcium alloy are added at two-thirds of the molten steel entering the ladle, which can avoid the waste of materials and prevent the premature addition of the final deoxidized products from causing the drawback of the stickiness of the molten steel.

 

5. The use of deoxidizer in steelmaking should select cheap ferroalloys on the premise of guaranteeing the quality of steel, so as to reduce the cost of steel.

 

Three specifications and models of steel-making deoxidizer

 

1. Deoxidization with Si/Mn may result in pure SiO 2 in solid phase, MnO?SiO 2 in liquid phase and MnO-FeO in solid solution. By controlling the appropriate ratio of_ [Mn]/_ [Si], the liquid phase product of MnO? SiO 2 can be obtained, and the inclusions are easy to float and remove.

 

2. The deoxidized products of S+Mn decaAl may be rosepyroxene (2MnO? A1203? 5Si02), aluminosilicate garnet (3MnO? Al2O3? 3SiO2), A12O3 (_[Al2O3] > 30%). The inclusion composition is controlled in the range of low melting point. For this reason, _IAl in steel is less than 0.006%, O in steel can be dissolved up to 0.0020% (20ppm) without Al203 precipitation, molten steel has good pourability, no blockage of nozzle and no subcutaneous pore will be produced in billet.

 

3. Deoxidize with excessive aluminium. For low carbon aluminium killed steel, the content of acid soluble aluminium [Al] s in steel is 0.02%~0.04%, and all deoxidized products are Al203. The melting point of Al203 is as high as 2050 C, which is solid in molten steel. If the pourability of molten steel with more Al203 content is poor, it is easy to plug the nozzle. In addition, Al203 is a non-deformable inclusion, which affects the properties of steel. The behavior of Al203 was changed by argon blowing and stirring to accelerate the floating and discharging of Al203, or by feeding calcium treatment of Si-Ca and Ca wires. The content of [Al] s is low, and the low melting 2CaO? Al203? Si02 is formed by calcium treatment. For low carbon Al killed steel, the product is easy to float and purify the molten steel by calcium treatment, which improves the pourability.

 


Compound steel-making deoxidizer SiAlBaCa:

 

Si > 30%, Ca > 6%, Ba > 9%, Al > 8%. (Indicators can be adjusted as needed)

 

The high-quality deoxidizer and desulfurizer in barium-based alloy of silicon-aluminium-barium-calcium deoxidizer can reduce the oxygen in steel to the minimum. The complex oxides containing calcium, barium, silicon and aluminium can easily float up from the molten steel, purify the molten steel and improve the impact toughness and workability of the steel.

 

Physicochemical index of pre-melting refining slag:

 

CaO% Al2O3% SiO 2% MgO%

 

45-50 35-40 < 4 < 6 (composition can be adjusted according to the needs of steel mills)

 

The pre-melting refining slag has low melting point, fast melting speed, shorter refining time and lower refining power consumption. Good fluidity, strong ability of desulfurization and removal of inclusions. It has no flame, little dust and good safety in use. No water absorption, no pulverization, no deterioration during storage and transportation. The effect of submerged arc is good, which reduces the burning corrosion of arc to the furnace and increases the package life.

 

Steelmaking Deoxidizer Electric Furnace Steelmaking Deoxidizer:

 

Aluminum slag ball:

 

Al>25%, Al2O3:20-45%, MgO<3.0%, CaO:10-15%, SiO_2<6.0%, S<0.50%, P<0.50% and particle size:10-50mm.

 

Aluminum slag balls can be used as deoxidizer to remove free oxygen from steel during initial steelmaking. In addition, it can quickly form slag and cover the liquid surface to isolate air. Slag-making speed is fast and desulfurization efficiency is high. Slag sample can be whitened in 15 minutes, which is very beneficial to desulfurization and inclusion removal.
