Applications and Performance：

QP-553 is highly miscible with standard organic solvents,such as alcohols, hydrocarbons and acetone.

QP-553 is practically insoluble in neutral water and reacts only slowly to form silanols and higher condensation products. Addition of a hydrolytic catalyst (inorganic/organic acids, ammonia or amines) accelerates the hydrolysis of QP-553 substantially. (Filler Modifier) QP-553 is used mainly to render a wide range of surfaces and materials water repellent (e.g.mineral fillers,pigment,glass cardboard). QP-553 may be used pure or in solution to treat fillers, using suitable mixing equipment.It may be necessary to first pre-treat the substrate with water and/or a catalyst.

QP-553 is also used in the production of silicone resins and condensation-curing silicone rubber

Packing：

The regular packing of this product is 25kg plastic pail, 200L steel drums and 1000L immediate bulk container.

Storage and Shelf Life：

Should be stored in dry, cool, ventilated room; keep away from water, moisture, high temperature and fire. This product has a shelf life of at least 12 months if stored in tightly closed original container at room temperature.

If this product is kept beyond the shelf life recommend on the product label, it is not necessarily unusable, but a quality control should be performed on the properties relevant to the application.
