Natural D-Alpha Tocopherol derives from edible vegetable oils. It is widely used as a source of Vitamin E in cosmetics, animal feed, food antioxidants, food and dietary supplement applications. The natural form of vitamin E, d-alpha-tocopherol, is better retained by the body compared to the synthetic form (dl-alpha-tocopherol). The bioavailability (availability for use by the body) is 2:1 for Natural vitamin E over synthetic vitamin E. It is the only form of alpha tocopherol found in nature. The low viscosity and high concentration make d-alpha tocopherol ideal for soft gel capsules.
Natural d-alpha tocopherol is a clear, viscous, brownish-red oil with a mild vegetable oil-like odor. It is easy to oxidized upon exposure to air and light. As such, protection from light, from heat, and from air are recommended when stored.
Natural source d-alpha tocopherol is produced under certified ISO 9001 and 22000 programs, and is Kosher and Halal certified. If desired, Non-GM products are available.
