It can be used in highway, expressway, parking lot and port and as a dryer to dry nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride and sulfur dioxide etc

Calcium chloride acts as dehydration agent when producing alcohol, ester, ether and acrylic acid.
