Physical properties A white or slightly yellow free flowing hydroscopic powder with an odourless or faint characteristic smell. Insoluble in water, alkali, acid and common organic reagents. Insoluble PVP swells in water and forms complexes with polyphenol, carboxylic acids and other low molecular weight compounds.
