~What is TOPDRY container desiccant?
TOPDRY H1000 is the new desiccant of transport protection for the reduction of dew point and control of condensation.
Principle:
* TOPDRY H1000 helps keep the dew point temperature below the actual temperature, even when the actual temperature drops within the shipping container due to day to night temperature fluctuations.
*If a shipping container is loaded during the day with temperatures above 25 degree Celsius and the relative humidity is above 90%RH, then the possibility of condensation occurring is substantial when temperature begins to drops.
TOPDRY Performance
*Easier to use. H1000 designed with rotatable hook, configured in a continuous strip o f 4*250 gram bag.
*Powerful moisture absorption capacity. At 25 degree Celsius 90%RH, the absorption capacity is 300% of its weight. TOPDRY desiccant innovative design allows water vapor to easily enter the interior of the bag where it is transformed into a thick gel and will not leak or escape.
*Continues to reduce the relative humidity down to 40% RH, with decrease the dew point temperature even further.
*Has the ability to protect shipments from start to finish. Through all temperature ranges and humidity variances.
*Complete safe, non-toxic, can be disposed as regular waste.
Usage
*Usage Requirements.
The recommended usage for TOPDRY H1000 is 6 to 8 pcs for a standard 20 foot shipping container, and 10 to 12 pcs for a standard 40 foot shipping container. Easily hang the H1000 with rotatable hook in the corrugation of the container panel.
Since travel time, weather conditions, temperature variations and final destination, shipping cargo type may significantly affect the levels of humidity encountered during the voyage, please consult us for more information.
*Usage Instruction:
1. Check if there is damage with the container, for example, if there is hole or crack at the sides, top or bottom of container.
2. Check container floor moisture contain(MC), a high MC in excess of 20% can increase risk of moisture damage. If the nature of containers can’t be changed, then it is necessary to increase the quantity of desiccant based in the amount of water contain in container to ensure the safety of goods.
3. Seal all the ventilating holes.
4. Take out the desiccant from the carton before its expiry date.
5. Cut apart the exterior PE bag and take out of desiccant.
6. Install desiccant evenly on the lashing ring at the top of container.
7. Loading container ASAP.
8. Close the doors immediately.
Remark:
*For maximum benefit from TOPDRY moisture protection, ensure that the desiccants won’t be crushed by the cargo, allow 4cm space between the cargo and desiccant.
*One unit of desiccant must be installed closely to the container door.
*Please put the desiccant on the top of cargo if it is packed with soft package.
Glossary of Term:
*Relative Humidity: related to the amount of water vapor suspended or help in the air.
*Dew Point: the point at which condensation begin to form as liquid or ice on the surface of an object.
*Dew Point Temperature: the temperature at which water vapor in the atmosphere begins to condense onto a surface forming liquid water or ice.
Condensation will occur if the surface temperature of an object is equal or below than the dew point temperature. If the relative humidity is lower, the dew point temperature is also lowered.
