1、Mechanism

The tubing is made from polyurethane which mixed with silver-containing zirconium phosphate at nanometer level, when the catheter is placed into the body, Ag+ will be released to inhibit bacteria growing.

2、The benefits of anti microbial central venous catheter

1) The anti microbial central venous is effective to inhibit the growth of bacteria, it can reduce 80% of related infection of ordinary central venous catheter, 10%-20% mortality which was caused by the infection and 75% of bacteremia.

The typical bacteria are the ant-thrombin staphylococcus, enterococcus and candida. The anti microbial central venous catheter is effective to inhibit bacteria growing, especially Gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and fungus.
