Product introduction
XY 27 is a kind of thinner (or deflocculation agent) for drilling fluid. There are cationic, anionic and nonionic functional groups in the molecular structure with certain proportion. The existence of cationic groups elevates its capability of inhibiting dispersion and swelling of shale formation and the inhibitory of the mud systems. XY 27 can not only apparently decrease but also stabilize the viscosity of the drilling fluid. It is also pretty good in cuttings resistance.

IV. Applications
It is widely used in fresh water drilling fluid, salt water drilling fluid and high density saturated salt water and low density saturated salt water drilling fluid systems. The field application in 500 wells of 16 oilfields in China shows that XY27 can effectively reduce the density of the drilling fluid, elevate the inhibitive capacity of the drilling fluid, and have better effects with the combination of FA376. For example, when used in Ansi well in Xinjiang Province, the XY27 elevated the density of the drilling fluid to 2.42 with good rheology, stability and moderate viscosity and shearing force. After a period of 24 hours rest of well mud, the well completion was done successfully, and the density difference of the top and the bottom was 0.01. In Sichuan Province and Changqing oilfields etc., XY27 was used in water sensitive mud shale layer. The dosage was raised from 0.1 to 0.4%, XY27 was applied as viscosity reducer to break the spatial grid structure of drilling fluid, and as inhibitors to inhibit the dispersion of mud shale and drilling fluid. It also contains functions as flowed :control mud making in stratum; avoid the tight hole and bit balling; maintain the safety of the well bottom; decrease the solids content of drilling fluid; elevate the drilling rate; save the costs. Recommended dosage is 0.1-0.3%.
