The Wii LAN Adapter is required to connect the Wii console to a wired access point, such as a broadband or wired router.
Requirements to connect the Wii console online with a wired connection.In order to connect the Wii console online with a wired connection, you will need the following:
1.A Wii LAN Adapter.
2.An active broadband inernet connection, such as DSL or Cable.
3.A compatible Internet Service Provider (ISP). Some ISPs require a sign-in every time you connect online, or are otherwise incompatible. Contact your ISP for more information.
4.Either a broadband modern or wired router with an avaiable ethernet port.
5.An ethernet cable.
