Silicon Micro Mist—a Ferroalloy By-Product
Which is also called Silicafume or Silicon Micro Mist, is collected and disposed out of the soot together with the exhaust gas by specialized equipment during the process of the high temperature fusion of silicon alloy. Among the soot, the content of SiO2 is over or equals to 90%. The average granule is as tiny as about 0.1μm, which is also why it got the name.
The Silicon Micro Mist has a big amount of SiO2 as its ingredient. It is quite steady and the quality index of each component is also quite good practically and is widely used in the water conservancy, hydroelectric and concrete projects. Also most fire-resistant material manufacturers have chosen this product due to its large amount of about 97% of SiO2, which has reached the first level by nationwide for silicon products as fireproofing materials.
Applicable Areas:
1. To work as the adulterant for cement and concrete to improve their performance. It betters the character of kinds of concrete or compound cement with the strength, wearability, anti-scour, anti-leaking and anti-coldness. It is widely used in the construction projects such as large water conservancy, water power, port building, railways, bridges, express high way, air field, tunnels and many other skyscraper building projects.
2. To help with the production process of fire-resistant materials and potteries. It can make it stronger and more perdurable.
3. Latex production. It will improve the ductibility, tearproofing ability and tenacity.
4. To work as the stuffing of paint, dope, resin and other macromolecule materials. |
