In the history of ancient civilization, there existed a thoroughfare for the traders, starting from the then Chinese capital of Xi’an to Mediterranean, spanning over Asia and Europe – the Silk Road. It had played an important role in the economic and cultural exchanges between the countries and peoples along the road. Day 01: XXX - Beijing (air) Jianguo Hotel or similar4* Arrive in Beijing. Transfer to Hotel. Day 02: Beijing Jianguo Hotel or similar4* Full day visit to the world famous Great Wall, the Ming Dynasty Emperors’ Tombs. Enjoy evening banquet – Beijing Roast Duck. Day 03: Beijing Jianguo hotel or similar4* Visit Tian’anmen Square, notably the largest city square in the world, the Forbidden City which served as the Imperial Palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and Summer Palace, once the Summer Resort for the royal families. Enjoy evening performance – Acrobatics Show. Day 04: Beijing - Xi’an (air) Jianguo Hotel or similar4* Half-day sightseeing of the Temple of Heaven where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for good harvests. After arrive in Xi’an, visit the 600 year-old City Wall – the best preserved one in China, then tour the awesome Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was first built more than 1,300 years ago in the Tang Dynasty. Day 05: Xi’an Jianguo Hotel or similar4* Full day visit to the Terra-Cotta Museum - the eighth wonder of the world, Huaqing Hot Springs - the Tang Dynasty emperors’ Winter Resort and Stone Tablets Museum - the largest stone library in China. Enjoy a grand dumpling dinner, and Tang Dynasty Dancing Show. Day 06: Xi’an-Lanzhou-Jiayuguan ( air / overnight train) Visit the White Pagoda Mountain in Lanzhou . Then depart for Jiayuguan. Day 07: Jiayuguan Great Wall Hotel or similar3* Early morning arrive in Jiayuguan – the west starting point of the Great Wall, then visit the Great Wall Museum and Jiayuguan Pass. Day 08: Jiayuguan - Dunhuang (coach) Grand Sun Hotel or similar4* Visit the Mogao Grottoes, known as the “Treasure House of the East Art” Day 09: Dunhuang - Turpan (overnight train) Visit the Crescent Moon Spring and the Mingsha Sand Dunes.. After dinner, depart for Turpan, a fiery land that is famous for grapes and hami melons. Day 10: Turpan Turpan Hotel or similar3* Visit the Flaming Mountain, Karezes – the ancient irrigation system and Emin Minerat – the ancient Uygur architecture. Minority performance in the evening. Day 11: Turpan - Urumqi ( coach) Holiday Inn or similar4* Visit the ruins of the ancient cities of Jiaohe and Gaochang. After lunch, depart for Urumqi – the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Visit the Bazaar there. Day 12: Urumqi Holiday Inn or similar4* Visit the Heavenly Lake – a natural lake 1,980 m above sea level, the beautiful Nanshan Grassland and Kazak yurts. Day 13: Urumqi - Beijing (air) Jianguo hotel or similar4* After breakfast, transfer to the airport and flight Urumqi to Beijing. Arrival in Beijing, freedom activity. Day 14: Beijing - XXX(air) Depart Beijing for home!
